Jacob comes to STAT Wellness after over 10 years of experience in the world of athletics as both an athlete and Strength & Conditioning Coach at the Division I level — playing football at Georgia Tech and coaching at Georgia State University. He graduated from Georgia State’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program and specializes in manual interventions (hands on techniques) and return to high level physical performance post injury.  Whether you want to distance run after a hip replacement or to play with your children pain free after a car accident, Jacob is excited to help you get back to doing the things you love.



How do you stay healthy with a busy schedule?

I try to be physically active everyday, even if it is only for 5 minutes — The pebbles turn into mountains over time.

If you could eat one cuisine for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

An endless plate of dumplings, I just can’t get enough of them… I can eat dumplings to the point of discomfort and somehow not be ashamed of myself.

What’s your favorite healthy snack?

Salmon & light cream cheese on toasted sliced baguette with olive oil drizzle

Do you have a favorite inspirational podcast or book?

Everything David Goggins says makes me want to stop everything I am doing and go workout.

What’s your all time favorite song to work out to?

Every single song from an 80’s movie montage.

Tell us how you first go interested in health and wellness.

Being physically active has been a HUGE part of my life, and so have the injuries which have come with it. I initially entered into the health & wellness space to learn how to optimize my own physical performance and how to address all the bumps and bruises I acquired over the years — I have stayed because I want to use what I have learned to help others to do the same.

What is your spirit animal and why?

Falkor — It is hard to go wrong with a Luck Dragon.
