Alison Bishop-Mason, PT, DPT, cert. DN

Physical Therapist

Dr. Alison Bishop-Mason, DPT, is an orthopedic and pelvic floor physical therapy specialist at STAT Wellness in Peachtree City, Georgia. She helps patients move through pain — whether it’s persistent low back pain, joint pain that’s limiting daily activity, or the pelvic floor dysfunction that so many people are told to simply live with.

Alison’s approach blends clinical precision with genuine listening. Patients come to her not just for a treatment plan, but for someone who takes the time to understand how pain is actually showing up in their lives — at work, at home, on a run, or in the moments in between.

A former collegiate runner, Alison brings an athlete’s understanding of movement and mechanics into every evaluation, now applying that same discipline as a recreational runner navigating the sport for the joy of it. Outside the clinic, she’s a mom to her daughter and two cats — a role that keeps her grounded, and one that gives her firsthand insight into the demands pelvic floor and orthopedic issues place on parents, especially postpartum patients.

At STAT Wellness, Dr. Bishop-Mason is known for meeting patients where they are: whether that means untangling chronic low back pain, restoring strength after a joint injury, or guiding someone through pelvic floor physical therapy with compassion and clear communication. Her goal is simple — help every patient in Peachtree City and the surrounding area move, live, and run without pain holding them back.

INTERVIEW WITH ALISON

How do you stay healthy with a busy schedule?

I love to run and go to gym; spend time with family and friends; and take time to read a book. Some weeks look a little different, but I try to always fill my cup in one of these ways.

If you could eat one cuisine for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

Thai food- love the curry sauce and all the added veggies!

What’s your favorite healthy snack?

Fruit (apples, bananas, grapes, etc)

Can you share something about yourself with us we may not know?

Ran cross country and track for Georgia State University. Go Panthers!

What’s your all time favorite song to work out to?

Just love the 2000/2010 essentials!

Tell us how you first go interested in health and wellness.

Grew up playing sports (soccer and running)- then learned about physical therapy from a high school project for a medical class I was taking. My interest in empowering people to control pain through movement blossomed from there.

What is your spirit animal and why?

Honey bee. I love to plant flowers around my house and have numerous plant babies inside my house. I’m also always doing something, whether house projects, yardwork, being a PT, caring for my 4-month-old baby girl, traveling, hanging with family/friends, etc.
