INTERVIEW WITH AMEERA
I start my day with prayer to sustain my mental & emotional health. I also try to drink 64 to 90 ounces of water a day. At a minimum go to the gym 2 – 3 days a week if I cannot go 4 days.
This is a tough one… I love Mediterranean food, Jamaican food, and seafood boils equally! If I had to choose one, I would eat Mediterranean for the rest of my life. Many of their meals are light, refreshing, and less likely to feel bloated after a big meal!
Mamma Chia Squeeze, sliced apples with almond butter, Bubba’s Bourbon Vanilla UnGranola, and Blue Diamond Almonds – wasabi and soy sauce!
I prefer to sleep upside down! Especially when I have trouble sleeping at night.

I prefer to work out with Rap/Hip-Hop since they have good beats to stay pumped to. However, my go-to is “Knife Talk” – by Drake and 21 Savage. I love Lucky Daye, so I prefer his music for a cool-down or light workout session.
I used to work as a Peer Health Educator in college. I had the opportunity to educate students about the different spectrums of health – mental, emotional, financial, physical, social, sleep awareness, safer sex, nutrition, alcohol and drugs, and much more. That influenced me to major in Health and Community Wellness to further my knowledge in Health Education and share as much information as possible to help improve anyone’s health who is willing to listen!
This one may not physically be an animal but he’s certainly a BEAST – the Holy Spirit. Why? He’s the best helper gifted to me and will never leave my side!
