INTERVIEW WITH AMELIA

How do you stay healthy with a busy schedule?

Even with a busy schedule, I prioritize staying consistent with the basics! My top 3:

  1. Quality Sleep – 7–8 hours of sleep each night, including at least 30 minutes of wind-down time.
  1. Daily Movement – 8-10k steps a day, ideally including a walk without stimulation to help reset my nervous system.
  1. Nourishing Meals – Meal prepping and cooking with whole foods at home helps me avoid skipping meals. Starting the day with a protein-rich, nutrient-dense breakfast is a non–negotiable!

What’s your favorite healthy snack?

My favorite combo currently is a turkey stick, some roasted, crispy chickpeas, and berries with electrolytes or a sparkling water.

Can you share something about yourself with us we may not know?

Over the past year, I’ve rediscovered my love for tennis. I love playing in leagues, watching it, and planning trips around tournaments on the professional tennis tour. Having a hobby is so therapeutic!

Do you have a favorite inspirational podcast or book?

I love the book Journey to the Heart by Melody Beattie for a daily meditation to read and reflect on each morning. My favorite health/wellness related podcast is Be Well by Kelly Leveque.

What’s your all time favorite song to work out to?

For working out, it has to be anything hip hop.

Tell us how you first go interested in health and wellness.

I’ve been interested in health, wellness, and nutrition for as long as I can remember. Through my work as an Occupational Therapist in conventional healthcare, and my experience navigating personal health challenges, I understand the vital role that holistic health and nutrition play in overall well-being. This inspired me to pursue additional training and become a coach myself with the goal of helping others live well and optimize their health in a way that feels simple, sustainable, and empowering.

What is your spirit animal and why?

I took a spirit animal quiz once and it said I was a whale, symbolizing balance, wisdom, and listening... so let’s go with that!
