Beau Barron

SVP of Growth

Beau brings a background that spans healthcare, technology, and sales, but more than anything, he brings a personal story that makes STAT’s mission especially meaningful to him. As an osteosarcoma survivor, Beau has experienced the healthcare system firsthand in a way that gives him a deeply personal, patient centered perspective on what truly matters in care.

His entry point into healthcare was serving as a firefighter and EMT, an experience that shaped his desire to help people when they need it most. It was his first real exposure to caring for others in critical moments and helped set him on the path toward building a career in healthcare.

Most recently, Beau helped scale ViewFi Health from pre revenue to serving more than 1,500 patients per month. A major part of that work involved expanding access to musculoskeletal care through a model that was more efficient, more patient focused, and easier for people to navigate.

Beau’s connection to STAT is also deeply personal. STAT supported him throughout his cancer journey and played a meaningful role in helping him maintain his active and energetic baseline through both chemotherapy and surgery, without constantly feeling rundown, sick, and exhausted. He is incredibly grateful for what STAT did for him on a personal level, and that gratitude is a major reason he is so excited to be part of the team. He is passionate about helping scale that same experience to more patients across the country.

Beau recently shared more of his journey on the Little By Podcast, where he spoke about his experience and the perspective it has given him. You can access his story HERE.

At STAT, Beau is focused on building partnerships, expanding into new markets, and helping the company grow in a way that stays true to its mission of delivering personalized, relationship driven care.

Beau lives in Atlanta with his wife, who is a pediatric nurse practitioner, and their two children, their 4 year old son, West, and 7 year old daughter, Dana.

INTERVIEW WITH BEAU

How do you stay healthy with a busy schedule?

  • Most days, I pick my son up from school on my mountain bike. Carrying a very opinionated 30 pound passenger for five miles is a pretty solid way to test both your body and your patience at the end of the workday…
  • I also knock out pull ups in my office between meetings and track them on the whiteboard in front of my desk. It helps me stay sharp, break up the day, and make sure I keep moving.
  • We live next to a nature preserve in Atlanta, and most afternoons after school I take my son, daughter, and usually a few of their friends out for rides through the trails. It has become one of our favorite ways to spend time together outside.

If you could eat one cuisine for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

My wife’s fried chicken sandwich on keto bread with Grillo’s pickles and mayo. Hard to beat that.

What’s your favorite healthy snack?

Catalina Crunch Protein Snack Mix. It only has 1 gram of sugar and tastes like an even better version of Chex Mix.

Can you share something about yourself with us we may not know?

I completed the full Florida Ironman and also summited Mount Shasta in Northern California.

Do you have a favorite inspirational podcast or book?

Two of my favorite books are Lone Survivor and Living Fearless. They are very different, but both have some great life lessons.

What’s your all time favorite song to work out to?

If I had to pick just one, it would probably be “Levels” by Avicii.

Tell us how you first go interested in health and wellness.

I’ve always been active from a young age, so health and wellness has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. I majored in Health Promotion at Auburn University, where we ran a wellness clinic for the surrounding Auburn and Opelika communities. At the same time, I was also working full time as a firefighter and EMT for the City of Auburn. That was really my first experience seeing health and wellness in a professional setting, and it became my entry point into healthcare as a career. From that point on, I knew I wanted to build a career around helping people, which is a big part of why I’m so excited to be part of STAT.

What is your spirit animal and why?

I’d say my spirit animal is a golden retriever on pre-workout. I’m high energy, loyal to my people, always up for an adventure, and I crash hard at the end of a long day. I’m equal parts encouraging, intense, and a little chaotic. Very friendly until it’s time to compete, then it’s game on.
