Bianca Gumus, RN, BSN

Bianca graduated from the University of Georgia in 2019 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology. She then moved to Atlanta and worked in an OBGYN for a year before going back to nursing school at Kennesaw State University. After graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2022, she began working as a Labor and Delivery nurse. Her background in Psychology and women’s health allows her to have a well-rounded, comprehensive view of each patient and their needs.

Bianca’s favorite thing to do is see her rescue dog enjoying life, whether it’s at the beach, park, or walking on the Beltline. She also is a self-proclaimed foodie and enjoys trying new restaurants. What motivates Bianca the most is planning trips and having travel plans to look forward to.

I’m a fruit addict, so cantaloupe, strawberries, grapes, apples, and/or raspberries.

Can you share something about yourself with us we may not know?

I am a cleaning/organization freak! I love my things and my home, and I obsess over maintaining them.

What’s your all-time favorite song to work out to?

I don’t have a specific favorite, but I like upbeat house music for running and rap music for weight lifting!

Tell us how you first got interested in health and wellness.

I began my own wellness journey in college and enjoyed having control over my body and seeing progress in my strength and endurance. I realized that I love running, and fell in love with the feeling of meeting my fitness goals. Nursing school pushed that interest further as I learned about the physiological aspects of health.

What is your spirit animal and why?

My spirit animal is a Pomeranian, but I don’t have an explanation for why. I just think I identify with them the most!
