Frequently Asked Questions

What is functional or personalized medicine?

The Institute of Functional Medicine describes the Functional Medicine Model as “an individualized, patient-centered, science-based approach that empowers patients and practitioners to work together to address the underlying causes of disease and promote optimal wellness.”

The goal with Functional Medicine is to uncover the root cause of symptoms and disease rather than just managing them so true healing can take place.

We love to prescribe lifestyle medicine whenever possible including dietary changes, sleep recommendations, exercise regimens, stress-reducing activities, and supplements when appropriate.

At STAT Wellness, we very much believe in allopathic medicine and we will prescribe pharmaceuticals (medication) as needed.

Do you take insurance?

All of our medical visits are fee for service or cash-based. However, we do accept HSA (Health Savings Accounts) and we process labs through insurance whenever possible.

Each insurance plan is different so we recommend calling your insurance company if you have any questions regarding lab reimbursement or deductibles.

However, our Movement only memberships are available for 3, 6, and 12-month commitments and you can add our medical services à la carte at any time. You can find a full list of our pricing here.

What do your practices look like?

They are beautiful!

Our Atlanta practice is 3700 square feet with large windows in the front and back, exposing natural lighting and greenery. Two-thirds of the space is an open gym with a variety of equipment (squat racks, dumbbells, sleds, TRX, slam balls, rowers, assault bikes, a treadmill, kettlebells, and more). The other one-third of the space is our medical side with four consult rooms for functional medicine visits, physical therapy, health coaching, nutrition consults, or IV therapy.

Our Roswell practice is housed in an 1850’s mill house that has since been added on to. Our waiting room and apothecary are located in the original structure, complete with a large original fire place that runs through the middle of the room. Our consult rooms are located down the main hallway with a window in each room where we do functional medicine visits, physical therapy, health coaching, and nutrition consults. Downstairs you will find our state of the art gym which can accommodate up to 4 clients at a time.

Our Peachtree City practice is our newest location and it is located in the brand new Laurel Brooke community. This location has tall ceilings with lots of natural light and a custom floating staircase connecting the first floor to the second. We offer small group and personal training on the first floor and functional medicine, physical therapy, and IV infusions on the second floor. The upstairs covered patio makes for a great place to do an IV while enjoying the outdoors.

Come stop by and say hello!

How soon should I expect to feel better?

Everybody is different and there is no one-size-fits-all solution to health and wellness. Some people notice improvements in weeks, while others require months. However, we are here for you every step of the way and our highly skilled staff’s top priority is to get you feeling your best!

What is the benefit of IV Therapy?

There are so many benefits!

Because our soil is not as nutritionally dense as it once was, many of us have suboptimal nutrients, even with an excellent diet. In addition, digestive dysfunction, which alters nutrient absorption, is common. Intravenous therapy bypasses the gut to increase absorption.

Do you sell supplements?

We proudly sell Ora Organics both at our physical locations and on our website. These products are organic, plant-based, and free of gluten, dairy, fillers, dyes, and preservatives. Check them out here.

All other supplements are filled through FullScript. Check them out here.

What does boutique fitness mean?

We describe our classes as boutique because they are smaller in nature. None of our classes will have more than 12 people in them – that’s why it’s important to sign up in advance! You can sign up for any of our classes here

What should I wear for group fitness classes?

Any athletic wear is perfect!

You need closed-toe sneakers for our group fitness classes.

Do you have a shower?

Yes! We have a shower in Atlanta and Roswell and provide shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. You will need to bring your own towel.

Is there parking available at the Roswell Location?

Yes! We have a number of parking spots in the cul-de-sac as well as in the lower lot. You can also park on Vickery Street if needed.

Do your Roswell and Peachtree City Locations offer group fitness?

Our Roswell and Peachtree City locations have a full gym on the lower level and offer personal and small group training in the space, as well as Physical Therapy. However, group fitness classes are only offered in Atlanta.

Can I use your services without becoming a member?
