INTERVIEW WITH NIKKI
What are three ways you stay healthy with a busy schedule?
-Have a plan for my food. Pack healthy snacks and prep thing in advance.
-Never miss a Monday. I like to get a workout in at the start of the week to set the tone.
-Carve out time for things that feel good. Reading, stretching, or even just some Netflix to help me unwind.
If you could only eat one cuisine for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
What’s your favorite healthy snack?
Greek yogurt with granola and fresh fruit.
Can you share something about yourself with us we may not know?
I was a professional ballet dancer and moved to New York to pursue Musical Theatre.
Do you have a favorite inspirational podcast or book?
A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle!
What’s your all time favorite song to work-out to?
Ooh, that’s different everyday depending on my mood. Today it’s probably Burning Down the House by Talking Heads
Tell us how you first go interested in health and wellness.
My dad was probably my biggest fitness inspiration. He would workout every night. Sometime he would take me with him and I remember thinking that one day I wanted to be strong too. After a lifetime in dance, transitioning to fitness made sense. I wanted to share my love of movement with others.
What is your spirit animal and why?
My spirit animal is a dolphin. I am a free spirit and a peaceful being. A joyful performer when an audience is present. And I need to be near the water.
