INTERVIEW WITH RILEY

How do you stay healthy with a busy schedule?

  1. WEEKEND MEAL PREP!! It’s a game changer when on-the-go and helps me meet my nutrition goals without having to think about it throughout the week.
  2. Water before caffeine (as hard as it is for a “coffee-holic” like me), followed by my favorite vitamin/aminos drink in the morning!
  3. Wake up early Monday-Friday no matter what – this helps me prioritize a consistent sleep routine and guarantees I can get my workouts/bible studies in before the busy day starts! I know if I can prioritize my own goals first thing, I can best help others work towards theirs!

If you could eat one cuisine for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

My realistic choice would be Mediterranean cuisine, but if I could eat vodka rigatoni and chicken parm for the rest of my life without reaping the consequences, I’d say Italian food 100%!

What’s your favorite healthy snack?

I love a snack plate- archer beef sticks, cheese, & fruit. I’m a big fan of yogurt bowls too when the afternoon sweet tooth kicks in!

Can you share something about yourself with us we may not know?

I’m the oldest of 4 kids (big family girl), cooking is my love language, and I have an ongoing list of my favorite coffee shops in every city I’ve ever been to (I’ll never turn down a latte)

Do you have a favorite inspirational podcast or book?

I love a good podcast, so to name my Top 3: Stay True Podcast by Madison Prewett-Troutt, The George Janko Show, and Girls Gone Bible!

What’s your all time favorite song to work out to?

Depends on the workout…for a sweaty circuit, “Body (Dzeko Remix)” by Loud Luxury, but if we’re talking LEG DAY then, ”Can’t Tell It All” by Hulvey & KB!

Tell us how you first go interested in health and wellness.

I grew up in the dance studio—starting at age four and competing by age ten. When I was fifteen, my competition team was required to take a Pilates class as part of our weekly training, and that experience opened the door to cross-training in my life. I remember the exact “lightbulb moment” when I finally understood the value of prioritizing fitness and nutrition- seeing how it could elevate my performance, both on and off the stage. My love for dance naturally evolved into a deep passion for health and wellness. One pilates class quickly turned into weekly gym sessions, and the gym quickly turned into my job!

What is your spirit animal and why?

Lion! I love the power and boldness of lions, their protectiveness, strength, and the biblical symbol lions represent.
