“So, what’s the role of the health coach?”

This is one of the questions we get often – typically in one of our first visits – with patients. In today’s fast-paced world, maintaining a healthy lifestyle with ongoing family, social, and job responsibilities is challenging. The health coaches at STAT Wellness are here to help you set wellness goals, create a plan to attain them, and keep you accountable. They can motivate change and provide education, and other invaluable tools to support your lifestyle and health goals.

After your first follow-up visit with your STAT Wellness provider, you will likely have an idea of some areas of health to focus on based on bloodwork or other specialty testing. With more knowledge and a direction for your healthcare journey, your health coach will partner with you to prioritize and tailor goals to fit your healthcare needs. Your goals usually involve changes in at least one of the following areas:

  • Nutrition
  • Exercise/movement
  • Sleep
  • Stress management

While it may be tempting to rush into multiple changes at once, your health coach can help you set realistic and achievable goals. They do this by creating measurable objectives, and they provide ongoing support, motivation, and accountability for those goals. The regular. Check-ins that they provide ensure that patients are making strides toward their healthiest selves.

You do not have to have a membership at STAT Wellness to book an appointment with a health coach; however, we offer memberships that include unlimited visits with a health coach.  Our health coaches like to check in with patients at least once a month, if not more frequently. These meetings can be done in person, virtually, or by phone.

If you haven’t met with your health coach yet, don’t hesitate to book today! In an era where chronic disease and lifestyle-related health issues are on the rise, the role of the health coach cannot be overstated. They will provide personalized, holistic support and empower you to take control of your wellness journey.

In good health,
